Google Authenticator App Reviews

For security reasons, this app doesnt back up the seed/starting codes you use when you add a new service to the Authenticator. For this reason, make sure that you PRINT the QR code from the page youre scanning (Dropbox, Google, Coinbase, etc) and save that printout in a safe place. You will need these printouts to restore your services to Authenticator when you transfer to a new phone.

It worked fine until I upgraded to a new iPhone. Now its asking weird questions that I dont know how to answer. I deleted the app to download it again -same weird questions. Rule #1: dont make your customers feel stupid. They ignored that rule. Now Im off to find a replacement. ?

Keeps giving me the wrong code for my Ubisoft account, now I cant login and play the games that I payed for. Great

just stops working. Google support was positively useless.

This app is good, but you have to put a password in order to access it. Just make this app more secure, will you?? Thanks. =D

I would just love to see this application be available for the Apple Watch.

Really glitchy when I was adding all my TFA accounts. Kept adding two entries for each one account and menu bar kept disappearing. Needed multiple force quits. After the initial glitches it works well though.

There is really big problem which is the application does not work properly in iPhone 4 and 4s

Works great until you get a new phone or restore a backup. If you do then get ready for a nightmare trying to disable 2nd factor on all of your accounts and setting them back up. Google really needs to fix this but doesnt seem interested.

Stupid app that will immediately be deleted once I upload the stupid game. I wont be purchasing anymore Ubisoft games.

Ive used Google Authenticator for over 3 years and lost over 10 gmail accounts because it keeps resetting without retaining the codes created by the user for each account stored in the app. Earlier this year Ive created 5 new gmails accounts entered into Google Authenticator hoping it wouldnt reset itself when it updates. I was wrong. It reset and deleted everything I stored in the app. Now I no longer have access all my gmail accounts and Im now hassling with alternative ways to enter all 5 of my accounts. DO NOT TRUST THIS APP UNLESS YOU WANT TO LOSE ALL YOUR VALUABLE INFORMATION, INCLUDED IN YOUR EMAIL ACCOUNTS.

I got the app and tried using it multiple times and the codes were always incorrect.

What little instructions are unclear, and the app has been highly unreliable in the short time Ive used it.

Does its job in providing codes, but requires better design for UX, easy of use, organization. Features needed 1) organization by folder, or tags, 2) slide to edit or delete individual codes, 3) color organization per code, 4) more prominent heading names, 5) pop-out side menu showing folders, 6) on iPhone 7 Plus, top menu bar disappears (bug). There are other features but these should be basic for quality UX and not just a "functional" app.
