New iphone 7 plus. ALL login and codes gone. Cant even signing on the cryptic manual sign jn. where is this characters, whatever Scanable as a log in. I used this for months and now it seems useless.

I got a new phone, scanned the QR codes to set it up, and now none of my codes work. WTH?

I cant play Ubisoft games because something went bad. The 2 step verification turned itself on by itself and I dont have the ability to unlock any codes because they werent generated my me. Ubisoft wont let me sign on communicate because I need the code to get support. This is a problem many people had.

Completely stupid i just wanted to download rainbow six siege on pc because of free weekend and made me download this crap waste of time app

How could you use a authentication app with only local storage. If you upgrade your OS, you will lose all of your codes and be locked out f you change phones, you will lose all of your codes and be locked out Absurd. Use Authy

For two factor authentication, I prefer this over SMS as it works instantly and reliably. Restoring from a local ENCRYPTED iTunes backup will keep the Authenticator data when upgrading to a new device (iCloud will NOT work). Learned the hard way and this saves me the headache for future updates.

There’s no data backup. Loose your device, loose your 2fa ability. Expect hours of fun dealing with password reset functions on sites that expect you to have 2fa working. Dan Sokol

This app somehow deleted all my accounts that I used it for, simultaneously across my devices. Now when I open it, instead of showing me codes, it asks if I want to set the app up. I cant get into any of my accounts. This is a DISASTER. Im so sorry I trusted Google, now Im completely screwed!

Google should add push-notifications services so that when Im prompted for the code when logging into a Google services it will automatically appear in a notification pop-over the same way that iCloud security codes appear when you attempt login to FaceTime or iMessage, etc. Alternatively it should have a widget extension in the notification panel.

This would be awesome to have as an Apple Watch app, with one or two different MFA sources as "favorites" in Glances.

I’ve had no issues with this authentication app. I had another one, that will remain nameless, simply because they have an Apple Watch app. But, that one crapped out on more than one occasion. Not with Google. Every time I’ve needed it, Google’s been there to get me logged in. The only reason I didn’t rate this as 5 stars, is I believe they need to create an Apple Watch app. If they do, I’ll write another review and give them 5 stars!

Would love a companion watch app :)

I updated from an iphone 5s to the iphone 6s Plus and lost some of my app tokens. If you search for others who have this problem, then you will see that this is a somewhat common issue. Beware when updating this app! I am looking into switching to Authy

Worked fine till they did there update. Now codes are worthless!

Watch support would be nice. Maybe even Notification Center support.

I have lost access to every important account in my life because this app decided to suddenly delete all my codes without warning or reason. I have lost years oF data, basically I trusted Google with my online life and they destroyed it, completely and permanently, with no hope of ever recovering any of it. When this app delete your codes by itself, you will never get into your important accounts again. Forget about them, theyre gone, along with everything in them. I am so so sorry I trusted this piece of garbage. DO NOT USE THIS APP. IT WILL COST YOU EVERY ACCOUNT YOU ENTRUST TO IT. YOU WILL PERMANENLY LOSE ACCESS TO THEM.
