Since I updated my phone the app codes do not work. Uninstalled, one less app to worry about.

The Microsoft one does the same thing as google one, but it is the only one that supports approve the sign in request for logging the Microsoft account for just one tap, without entering the code.

Google made a change, and if you upgrade to a new phone and restore an encrypted iTunes backup of your old phone any codes you entered after they made this change will be GONE from the app. Thanks Google, I love having to figure out how to regain access to all my accounts that had two factor turned on. I suppose a working backup function is too much to ask, so Im discontinuing my use of this app.

I only use this so far for one app and works great. Have to be careful when swapping devices for authentication. Easy if you stay logged in on desktop and can rescan a code. Really needs watch integration to ever get five stars. Seems easy but suppose Google will always fight the Apple universe...

Dont use this app!!! It would only work on one device, if you lose it or change a new phone, it wont work！

Needs push notifications and touch id support!

If you get a new phone, everything is lost. Other Authenticator apps preserve your info through iCloud.

Switch your phone lose all your accounts. Well played Google top tier programmers you have working for you who cant figure out how to include their apps data in a standard encrypted iPhone Backup.

I have had this app for over a year and it works great... until you update iOS or you need to restore to a previous backup (bought new tablet and phone). Then, after putting in the new devices with Apple assisited restore... it loses itself. Nothing gets restored (password protection in iTunes is requred for it to save that stuff). It loses everything and I have to "re-register" for everything and remove the Authenticator and re-add it for other accounts. No, Im tired of this junk. Even Battle.nets Authenticator isnt this inept!

The app works well enough without issues. However, it is missing critical features. It is lacking any kind of notification support. This means you have to unlock your phone and launch the app to get to your code. The app should put these codes on your lock screen as an option. The codes I use expire after 60 seconds so not a ton of risk, as they can also be swiped off the lock screen were it supported. There is also no support for the Apple Watch which would be super helpful.

I had this problem on an earlier version of this app. You get a new phone, it is back to square one. There is no restore or saving of codes. It is a great app other than the fact that it becomes a nightmare if you get a new phone or have to restore your phone. They need to incorporate some kind of save system so you dont have to painstakingly disable and reenable every single 2 step verification you had previously.

Worked great until I got a new iPhone and theres no way to transfer to a new phone. Make sure you disable 2FA on your accounts before giving up your old phone, otherwise youll be locked out forever. Theres no working method to transfer the app and your accounts from one device to another. This is mission critical given the security of why you would use two factor authentication. Going to give Authy a try.

I just upgraded to the iPhone 7 and I can no longer access my accounts that use google two step verification. What a pile and waste of time!!! Dont set this up with any accounts!

Recently, i used the code from the app and CAN NOT open any mail on Mac It say incorrect And I have to SPEND money to get it from texts WTH fix it cause you create it

Avoid this app if you have more than 1 token to store, no migration path available when needing to switch to a new phone, disappointed

It might be nice, if it actually worked. I downloaded this app to get codes to sign into Google accounts, but it is asking for another code to even set this app up and there is no way to get such a code. It used the work fine, now its just useless. Zero stars if that was an option.

Very useful, simple Authenticator app. There are technical reasons why the token seeds cant be backed up. Theyre tied to the hardware. Saving them remotely on Googles servers would just be a larger security risk. The only complaint is the app isnt optimized for the iPhone 7 Plus cameras. Whenever I try to add a seed by QR code, it creates 2 copies. It seems like its not ignoring the telephoto lens or combining the images to prevent duplicates.

If you ever want to use a new phone for the remainder of your lifetime, no use Authenticator. I upgraded my phone and none of the codes show on the new app. There are some articles that tell you how to move the data to a new device, but none of them worked for me and many others. I believe theyve discontinued this ability. Now I have to contact each cloud app I use and see if theres a way to get into the account without generating an Authenticator code.

I was almost put off by the negative reviews. Glad I gave it a try. Works for me without any significant issues. Easy to use.

Worked flawlessly until I made the noob mistake and updated Ios after less than 2 months of it in the wild. Awesome fail Apple.
