Not reliable!

I had lots of acconts tied to this generator and I lost them all thanks to the latest update. I cant rate this with more than 1 star.

My codes are gone

After recover my iphone and do all that backup stuff, all my codes are gone. Now I cant login in zero services.

Lost all sign-in data upon upgrading

At some point, this app lost all its data which makes logging in via two factor impossible. This is literally the entire point of this application. Avoid this app if you want to access your login data in the future.

should access camera roll

the application should allows user to choose barcode image from the gallery !!

Extra layer of security

Like the ease of this app. Have not experienced any problem. Use it for multiple accounts.

Enable PIN code protection

Enable pin code protection as optional. I password protect my life phone, but why shouldnt I have the option to protect this codes as an additional safe measure? Simple enough to implement, the purpose of this app is all about authentication right?

Works as advertised

I use this app for a couple services and must say that it works as advertised. Just point at given QR code and it starts generating random codes like its supposed to immediately.

Doesnt save when switching devices

If you wipe your phone or get a new phone this authenticate will not work. Its nearly impossible re-setup devices that you have already linked to the authenticator. Ive been looking online trying to figure out how to redo it and have come across nothing. What was once a useful annoying app is now just useless to me. I wish the app would be login based so if you did get a new phone then you would just login and then there came the codes to the accounts linked.

Apple Watch

Please create a WatchOS app...much more convenient to look at my wrist for my 2FA code then to pull out the phone. Thanks.

Poor Backup Options

I have used Google Authenticator and Authy. Initially I preferred GA due to less txt alerts. But real test was transferring to a replacement phone. Apple replaced my phone, did a restore from icloud and wiped old phone. Authy was easy to reauthenticate and kept all sites linked. GA did not. All was lost. Kept walking me through resetting my Google 2-step but no way to get previous sites entered.

SAVE YOUR ACCOUNTS

I had my snapchat account linked to the authenticator app I had got a new phone so I had to login again and I had the email and password right but it keeps saying a code has been seen to that app so I went to that app it says setup so I did I didnt have a barcode so I choose manual entry it said give it my email and the entry code which I dont know then I look online everywhere and they dont even have a contact service for this app so please save you self the trouble and take the risk and dont download this app >:(

Wont read QR code. Whats the point.

Wont read QR code. Whats the point.

Havent had issues

I use this app for multiple accounts I own. If youre smart, you wont rely on this app for security and youll have a phone number or alternate way to access your account if this app should break because of an update (which it hasnt for me)

Does not carry over

I changed phones, now I cant log in to Patreon because it doesnt remember any codes I had entered before switching.

no backup

If you update through itunes, Or just lose your phone, Then youll lose access to all of your accounts... Why? because this app doesnt have "backup" option, If you lost your phone, then youll have to re-config ALL of your accounts AGAIN,

Needs Apple Watch Support

I like this app, it allows me to securly log into different accounts, yes if you change your Phone you need to setup your accounts again (btw this is a feature not a bug, because if someone steals your phone and gains access to it you will be hacked) I feel the key omission is lack of Apple Watch option, which should be very easy to implement. I am using VIP access app for Fidelity 2 step authentication and they have Apple Watch support build in, which really make it handy to look up the code and type it in. So Google Authenticator Team, let get coding and at the feature ASAP. Who knows maybe iOS 3 will offer it. Fingers crossed.

Adding via barcode adds account twice

Adding a new account, whether a Google or Dropbox account, adds each account TWICE (2 table view row entries per account) when adding via the barcode scan functionality. Running on iOS 10.0.1.

Dont use

Use to work perfectly but after recent update it is terrible

Useless

All lost after restore from old phone. No "key" code. Options: keep this phone forever so I can access Authenticator or wipe phone and loose ability to access Google items requiring authentication. Cant recommend this app.

Works fine, but could use new features

This app has been my go-to solution for 2-factor auth for a long time now. It works and has a solid interface--I havent experienced any of the bugs people have mentioned. That said, I would really like to see support for the Apple Watch, as most of the time I need access to OTP codes, Im either at my PC (not looking at my phone) or looking at my phone--and thus having to go back and forth between two apps in order to get the code and enter it.
